FC Vaslui nu are de ce să se bucure, dar nici să facă o tragedie din tragerea la sorţi a turului trei preliminar din Europa League. Echipa lui Porumboiu o va întâlni, mai mult ca sigur, pe Omonia Nicosia (Cipru), care joi a învins pe Torshavn cu 4-0 în turul manşa-tur a fazei secunde.
Prima manşă se va disputa pe 30 iulie, la Vaslui, iar returul este programat pe 6 august, în Cipru „La ce lot are Vasluiul nu ar trebui să-şi facă probleme. Totul este să joace bine pe teren propriu şi să fie atentă în deplasare, unde ciprioţii sunt periculoşi”, spune Ioan Andone, fost antrenor la Omonia în 2006.
Adrian Porumboiu e optimist în privinţa şanselor pe care echipa sa le are să ajungă în play-off-ul Europa League: „Nu e nici bine, nici rău. Nu ne e teamă. Dacă ne e teamă de acum, ce vom face când vom vedea adversari ca Lazio sau alte echipe mari din Europa? Era mai bine să jucăm returul acasă, dar asta este”.
Şi antrenorul Cristi Dulca este încrezător că formaţia sa va avea câştig de cauză în faţa ciprioţilor: „Nu ne este teamă. Trebuie să tratăm meciul cu seriozitate şi adversarul cu respect. Era mai bine dacă jucam meciul decisiv acasă, dar eu am încredere că putem tranşa calificarea din tur”.

@OMONOIARA: If one man said what you want to hear .. he`s a clever man? That`s stupid, no offence. On the other hand .. you guys are waaay to self-confident. But I`m not a worried dude cause I know that the cat will get your tongue after the first match. Wesley will score 2 and nothing else matters :D Forrza Vaslui. It is real that the Romanian football is one step in front of Cyprus football. Cyprus is a rich country and the football teams spend a lot of money bringing good players from abroad, especially Omonoia. But the romanian teams are based on romanian talented players. This does not happen in Cyprus. In Cyprus the most players are foreigners. I think that because Omonoia is now the best club in Cyprus and Vaslui is not such a big team in Romania with experience (such as Steaua, Dinamo) Omonoia has a slight advantage. If Omonoia had to play with experienced teams like Steaua or Dinamo the possibilities would be 65% for the Romanian teams and only 35% for Omonoia.
